What is Pancreatin?
Pancreatin is a dietary supplement that is comprised of the pancreatic enzymes trypsin, amylase, and lipase. Pancreatin is used to supplement the loss of digestive enzymes in conditions in which pancreatic secretions are insufficient for normal functionality such as pancreatitis and cystic fibrosis. The enzymes that are replaced are responsible for facilitating the digestion of proteins, starches, and fats.
