Q: Dear Dr. Mao,
What causes Alzheimer’s? Is it preventable?
A: Most people over the age of 40 experience some memory loss. We don’t know what causes this normal experience, and there is no conventional treatment available to treat it. There are a few natural treatments that might be helpful.
Alzheimer’s disease is much more serious than ordinary forgetfulness. Microscopic examination shows that nerve cells in the thinking parts of the brain have died and disappeared, particularly cells that release a chemical called acetylcholine. However, we do not know exactly what causes Alzheimer’s disease.
To help enhance your memory you may try the brain-nourishing herbal supplement “Super Clarity” by Traditions of Tao. Of course, discuss with your physician before beginning any new health regime.
