Q: Dear Dr. Mao,
Must a person already be healthy in order to extend life expectancy?
A: Generally speaking, the healthier your starting state, the better your chances are of extending the quantity of years, and more importantly, the quality, of your life. It is never too late to begin, though. At every stage of our lives we have the opportunity to enhance our health and extend it. Most of us tend to neglect our health when we are young; we only scramble to catch up when we reach our mid-life and begin feeling the nudges of age. So start as early as possible, and be as consistent as possible.
A great way to promote one’s own physical vitality is by using the Traditions of Tao’s “Five Elements of Health” and “High Performance” supplements in conjunction with healthy living. Of course, discuss with your physician before beginning any new health regime.
