How serious a case of high blood pressure?

Q: Dear Dr. Mao,
I have high blood pressure that is not genetic. Can I treat it naturally and how can I tell how serious my case is?

A: Hypertension can be a serious illness with severe consequences. I suggest you first consult with a physician to be sure that there are no serious pathologies requiring immediate attention. Blood pressure of 140/90 is considered Stage 1 mild and 180/110 is considered severe Stage 3 hypertension.

You may find these specially formulated Traditions of Tao herbal supplements helpful for your high blood pressure: “Creative Balance”, “Ancient Treasures”,  “Internal Cleanse” and “Emotional Tranquility” teas and the Super Clarity
and “Calm-fort/Sleeping” herbal formulas. Of course, discuss with your physician before beginning any new health regime.
