Remedy for eczema and sunburn?

Q: Dear Dr. Mao,
My son has terrible eczema. On top of this, he is also sunburned. Now he is very itchy; we’re putting hydrocortisone on his skin and that is helping a little. Is there anything else we should do?

A: If the sunburn is severe, please contact a burn center or consult a physician. If the eczema is not severe, a good remedy for mild sunburn is an immediate application of plain yogurt. It serves to cool and moisturize the skin while removing excess heat from the skin.

You may find these specially formulated Traditions of Tao products helpful for eczema: “Exquisite Skin”, “Abundant Energy”, and “Regenerating Cream”. Of course, discuss with your physician before beginning any new health regime.
