Treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome?

What would you recommend to treat chronic fatigue syndrome, especially for exhaustion and anxiety?

A: chronic fatigue syndrome is a relatively new disease, and it is present predominantly in the industrialized western world. I believe it is a function of the body’s autonomic nervous systems as they get overwhelmed by various stresses.

These are my recommendations:
1. Regulate your diet; eat smaller amounts and more often. Avoid heavy, fatty, and difficult-to digest foods. Drink more water.

2. Make sure you get plenty of sleep. You must get a minimum of 8 hours of sleep a night. Noontime power naps can also help.

3. Take up tai chi or qigong exercises. These exercises are gentler on the body and can help build up energy.

4. Visit your acupuncturist; they can help with herbal preparations and regular treatments to get you body back in balance.

The Traditions of Tao “Chronic Fatigue” and “Fatigue” herbal formulas may also be helpful for you. Of course, discuss with your physician before beginning any new health regime.
